At the beginning of 2001, CILT started looking into ways of organizing the library and making it easy for anyone to find information. We decided on a software program called Athena from the Sagebrush Corporation.  This company makes many different kinds of library programs and Athena is one of their newest ones and used in many schools.

We have been getting the books on the shelves catalogued first and then will do videos, audio cassettes, magazines and archival material.

The Athena program is an easy system to use and it is now possible to search for most of our books and reports on the library computer using key words. This is not a lending library.  All materials have to be used in this office.

Once all the material is catalogued, it will be easier to see where gaps of information are and we will be able to look for new books to "fill in the blanks." It is hoped that each of CILT’s core programs will have library material to draw on to enhance current and future projects.
