Special Transportation for People With Disabilities
 
Please note that these services:
  • may have a fee.  It may be a set amount or on a sliding scale.
  • arrangements for service need to be made a few days ahead of time
  • a client has to tell the organization of any special equipment they use, such as walkers or wheelchairs
    clients must be able to make independent transfers as the majority of drivers are volunteers and are not able to safely do this 
  • some of these organizations will provide wheelchair van service but only to people attending their programs, but transportation by car is available to others
